Ghana’s Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Abena Dapaah has resigned.
This follows the revelation that one million dollars, 300,000 euros, and millions of Ghana cedis were stolen from her home by her two house helps who are facing charges before an Accra Court with many questioning how she came by such monies.
The embattled minister in her resignation letter addressed to the President indicated that she decided to step down from her role because she does not want the scandal to hinder the work of the government.
