Ghana’s largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is staging what it calls the “mother of all demonstrations” today, Tuesday, to protest discrepancies in the current voter register.
The demonstration, dubbed “Enough Is Enough,” will be held simultaneously across all 16 regions of Ghana. The NDC is demanding a forensic audit of the voter register by an independent body to ensure credible and transparent December elections.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the party of protection during the protest.
