Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has conceded defeat to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, John Dramani Mahama, following Ghana’s presidential election.

In a statement, Dr. Bawumia acknowledged the will of the Ghanaian electorate, expressed his gratitude to his supporters, and called for unity in advancing the nation’s development agenda.

Official confirmation from the Electoral Commission is awaited at the end of collation.
