Members of Parliament in Ghana have called on the government to take urgent steps to deliver on its promise to implement the Second Phase of the Keta Sea Defence Project for residents in the Keta constituency and surroundings in the Volta Region, thousands of whom have been rendered homeless due to tidal waves.
The MPs contend that the matter is a national crisis and any further delay in the project will lead to severe destruction of properties and entire communities being washed away.
They also have accused Cabinet Ministers and their deputies of undermining their work by failing to honour invitations to the House to answer questions.
