Embattled Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, the largest constituency in Ghana, Sarah Adwoa Safo has failed to appear before the legislature's Privileges Committee to answer questions on why she has been absenting herself from proceedings of the House.
Her failure to attend parliamentary proceedings was referred to the Committee by Speaker Alban Bagbin for the necessary action.
After earlier efforts to serve an invitation to appear before the Committee on Adwoa Safo failed mainly because she has been in the United States for many months, the Committee published her invitation in the national dailies.
They also gave her the opportunity to be heard via video conferencing but the MP has not shown up, either in person or via the video conference link sent to her.
