Ghana marked 65 years of independence with pomp and ceremony at the cape coast stadium on Sunday. The celebration was attended by thousands including school children who exhibited their marching skills, and the prime minister of Barbados. 

During his address, Ghana’s president, Nana Akufo-Addo charged citizens to jealously guard the democracy enjoyed and resist persons who may want to destabilize the nation. Correspondent, Eric Mawuena Egbeta has the rest of the story
