President John Mahama has announced plans to introduce a short military training programme for National Service Scheme (NSS) personnel.

Speaking during his State of the Nation Address, he said the initiative aims to instill discipline, physical fitness, and a strong sense of national service among young participants.

The government believes this programme will enhance patriotism and prepare young graduates for leadership roles in various sectors.
