John Dramani Mahama has been officially sworn in as the 14th President of the Republic of Ghana in a historic ceremony held today, Tuesday January 7 2025.
This marks Mahama’s return to the presidency, making him the first leader under the Fourth Republic to secure a second term after a break from office.
The swearing-in ceremony, attended by numerous dignitaries, including 21 Heads of State, celebrated this significant milestone in Ghana’s democratic history.
Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang also took her oath of office, becoming Ghana’s first female Vice President.
