Some 21 persons suspected to belong to the lesbians, gays, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) community, who were arrested in Ghana last month have been granted bail.
The suspects were picked up by police at Ho in the Volta Region on Thursday, 20 May 2021.
On Friday the suspects were granted bail of 5,000 Ghana cedi, which translates to about 86 USD with one surety each.
