The Gambian armed forces has issued a press statement dismissing reports of a coup plot involving soldiers believed to still be loyal to the former president Yahya Jammeh.
The rebuttal late Tuesday, follows media reports published on October 4th 2021 by one of the newspaper outlets in the country that, the Chief of defense staff was confronted by five army officers.
