Political leaders in the Gambia have failed to reach consensus on the eligibility of President Adama Barrow to stand for two more terms if he so wishes.
The draft constitution, which is currently in the works contains a retroactive clause which states that President Barrow is currently serving his first term, hence has only one more term to serve should he win the December polls.
While the governing party wants the clause amended, the opposition says it should be maintained.
Sankulleh Janko reports on the outcome of a meeting between the political leaders and former Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
