The Gambia Red Cross Society has distributed over 100,000USD to Internationally Displaced Persons IDPs and refugees in the Foni region near the Senegal troubled Cassamance region.
A total of 900 households benefited from the latest financial support from the humanitarian organisation totaling an overall disbursement of D21 Million or its equivalent of 385000 US Dollars since January 2022.
More than 6000 people have been forced to flee their homes since the latest clash between the Senegalese soldiers and Movement for Democratic Forces of Cassamance MFDC Rebels ensued last month.
