A senior advisor on strategic communication in the office of Gambian President Adama Barrow has resigned her post.
Fatou Jaw Manneh resigned in protest over the formation of a political alliance between the former ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction of exiled former President Yahya Jammeh and Barrow’s ruling National People’s Party.
She said that after over two decades of fighting against dictatorship under the APRC, she could no longer work with President Barrow who seeks to return the party to power through the alliance.
