Gambia’s Information Minister Ebima Sillah says re-elected President Adama Barrow will dedicate his second term in office to developing the Gambia’s infrastructures.
According to Minister Sillah investing in technology to solve various problems will be at the top of Barrow’s second term priorities.
The information minister was speaking Tuesday after the Supreme Court of the Gambia dismissed the election petition of the opposition United Democratic Party.
The party had prayed the court to nullify the victory of the winner Adama Barrow after accusing Barrow’s National People’s Party of various election malpractices.
But the court rejected the demand, saying the party had failed to comply with the election rules of the country.
Adama Barrow won a second five years term in office following the December 4 presidential election.
Minister Sillah started by saying that the court’s ruling was a victory for the Gambia’s democracy.
