The meeting between the EU and the G5 Sahel countries whas been postponed due to the coup in Burkina Faso. The decision follows consultations with the Chadian presidency, chair of the G5 Sahel, its counterparts, and the European Union. The European Union's high representative – Joseph Borrell says it will remain engaged in Mali and the Sahel but not at any price. Borrell’s remark on Wednesday came after talks in Brussels with the foreign ministers of Mali, Mauritania, Niger, and Chad.
