Former Brigadier General Bora Colley, who has been on the run for seven years, has surrendered to the Gambian Armed Forces.
This marks the end of a long pursuit for the high-ranking officer alleged to be involved in human rights abuses under the previous regime.
Colley, who served under former President Yahya Jammeh and was allegedly associated with the notorious “Juniglers” unit, turned himself in to the military police at Yundum Barracks around midnight on August 9, 2024.
