France has started its military withdrawal from Senegal by handing over facilities to local authorities.
The first transfers took place in the Maréchal and Saint-Exupéry districts, following a February 28 joint commission decision.
This move aligns with the 2012 military cooperation treaty between Paris and Dakar.
