Former Malian Finance Minister Bouaré Fily Sissoko’s health is reportedly deteriorating as she remains in detention for over three and a half years.
Sissoko faces corruption charges linked to the controversial purchase of a presidential plane and alleged overpricing of military equipment. Her trial was suspended last October after weeks of hearings.
On Monday, her lawyer filed a new request for provisional release on medical grounds, citing her worsening condition.
