The European Union has responded to a group of Guinean MPs who have expressed concern about some human rights violations.
The European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Politics says he shares their concerns.
Joseph Borrell says the European Union continues to closely monitor this critical situation.
He further announced the opening of a "new session of political dialogue" between the European Union and the authorities in Conakry.
This dialogue, according to Joseph Borrell, would make it possible to address questions of governance and human rights in Guinea.
The EU has also santioned 5 Guinean figures allegedly involved in the massacres of September 28, 2009.
Vice-President of the Guinean human rights organization Alpha Amadou Bah says now is the time for sanctions to also be imposed on Guinean government.
