This edition, Managing Farmers’ Expectations In 2025 Crop Season, follows the last episode of Enviroscope, which investigated the readiness for the rainy season in the Sahel.

The 2025 cropping season for farmers should be another promising cultivation and harvest period for local consumption and export.
But, as high as the expectations, so are the risks, especially associated with weather predictions which suggest more than an average to excess rainfall.

This information is for several farmers’ associations in countries of West Africa, given that they have limited resources, a threat.

They recall the unfortunate back-to-back flood incidents that submerged farmlands, swept away livestock and claimed hundreds of lives.
Abudllahi Hassan engaged the executives of Farmers’ Associations in countries of West Africa and the WFP.
