Over the past 10 days, Ghana has experienced devastating floods in the Ashanti region, resulting in the tragic loss of eight lives, including a National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) officer.
As is customary during the months of June and July, heavy rainfall has struck various areas within the Ashanti region, the southern part of the country causing road closures, bridge collapses, displacement of households, and leaving behind a trail of casualties.
