As part of the promotion of ECOWAS activities in Niger, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, through the ECOWAS National Unit, in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), has launched a Training of Trainers Workshop on migration and the free movement of people and goods within the ECOWAS region in Niamey on Tuesday.
At the opening ceremony, Head of Programs of the IOM, Mr. Peter Kioy, who also represented the Head of Mission of the UN Agency for Migration said the Training of Trainers Workshop on Migration and Free Movement of People and Goods within the ECOWAS region aims to deepen the knowledge of trainers on migration, free movement of people and goods in ECOWAS including issues relating to travel documents, the rights and duties of citizens towards the Community as well as the causes and consequences of migration.
