Leaders of the regional bloc – The Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS have pledged to forge stronger ties in order to address emerging challenges, such as the current third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and its Omicron variant, the political upheavals in Mali and Guinea, and climate change realities that are threatening livelihoods of many people across the sub-region.
These are some of the issues raised during the 60th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government held in Abuja.
