The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) leaders have finalized and approved the design of the Lagos-Abidjan Corridor Highway Development Project, a 1,068-kilometer highway connecting Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, and Nigeria.
The $15 billion project, funded by the African Development Bank, is expected to commence construction in 2025.
