The ECOWAS Regional Centre for Disease Surveillance and Control has issued a warning about the increase in monkeypox cases in the region.
West Africa has so far recorded 44 cases. Since the beginning of 2024, the epidemic has already caused hundreds of deaths on the continent and thousands of cases have been reported.
In its latest report on the evolution of monkeypox in West Africa, the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Disease Surveillance and Control warns of the spread of cases. The organization considers the health situation to be concerning.
