The 43rd ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Staff meeting in Abuja concluded with a renewed commitment to tackling regional security challenges.

Led by Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Musa, the meeting focused on strengthening the ECOWAS Standby Force and Counter-Terrorist Brigade.

Discussions also covered logistics planning, operational procedures, and naval security cooperation across the West African sub-region.

ECOWAS emphasized continued collaboration to enhance regional stability and counter growing security threats.
