The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Ambassador to Liberia Josephine Nkrumah, has underscored the need to increase sensitization on the consumption of locally produced rice in the country.

The 2021 Global Hunger Index classifies Liberia’s level of hunger as ‘serious’ after the country ranked 110 of 116 countries on hunger conditions, a situation the ECOWAS Ambassador said needs a collective approach to address.
