The 9thWorld Water Forum is slated to be held in Dakar, Senegal from 22nd to 27th March 2022 under the theme "Water security for peace and development".
The event which is the first of its kind to be held in Sub-Saharan Africa will address 4 key points: water security and sanitation, cooperation, rural development and means tool.
Organized by the World Water Council, the Forum aims to enhance the implementation of actions needed to achieve sustainable development goals, positively transform the lives of people and boost performance of the productive sectors.
Head of the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Dakar Valentina Bernasconi speaks more on the importance of the event in an interview with WADR’s Oge Obierika.
