In The Gambia, civil society organizations are pressing the government for full transparency in the sale of assets belonging to former President Yahya Jammeh.
Their demand follows an investigative report revealing corruption, abuse of office, and conflicts of interest in the disposal of Jammeh’s properties.
While the government has acknowledged the findings, it insists that all transactions followed due process.
CSOs, however, argue that the public deserves detailed disclosure to restore trust and ensure accountability in the handling of national assets.
