The Senegalese government has approved an aid of 2.5 billion CFA Francs for the cultural sector of the country in response to the covid19 pandemic.
The government announced the funding on Thursday, a day after a sit-in against the restriction measures imposed by the second wave of Covid-19.
Minister of Culture and Communication, Abdoulaye Diop recommended to the various actors of the culture sector to "reflect in order to see how to proceed with the distribution of this sum.
