In Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI) has elected Tidiane Thiam as its presidential candidate ahead of the country’s upcoming elections.

Thiam’s selection came during the party’s convention on Wednesday, where close to 6,000 party activists participated in the vote.

With this victory, the prominent financier will now represent the PDCI in the October 25, 2025 presidential polls.
