Côte d’Ivoire: Thousands converge in honour of late prime minister

In Cote d’Ivoire, thousands of residents of Abobo, North of the capital – Abidjan on Tuesday, converged in the municipality and proceeded to picket at the town hall in honor of their Mayor and the late Ivorian Prime Minister Hamed Bakayoko.

Bakayoko died last week after battling cancer.

During Tuesday’s solemn ceremony, Minister Kandia Camara who acted as chair, testified the late Premiers generosity and dexterity in the management of the town.

Also in attendance were City Councilors and deputies to the mayor of Abobo, community leaders and religious guides, the educational community, women's and youth associations, athletes, among others.
