The government of Côte d’Ivoire has issued cheques to Ivorian Ivorian athletes who qualified for the 2024 Olympics.
An estimated 450 million CFA Francs was disbursed on Friday by Prime Minister Robert Mambe who doubles as the Minister of Sports.
The disbursement according to the Prime Minister is aimed at encouraging the athletes and rewarding the efforts made thus far.
It should be recalled that Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara had promised to the athletes in preparation as a prelude to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The government through the sports Minister reaffirms its commitment to the sector and make Ivorian athletes valuable standard bearers.
