The governments of Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso are taking steps to popularize a cross-border framework agreement that exists between their countries.
The Secretariats in charge of the national border commissions of both countries are leading this effort through workshops attended by Burkinabe and Ivoirian citizens.
The Executive Secretariat of the National Commission of Borders of Côte d'Ivoire (SE-CNFCI) and the Permanent Secretariat of the National Commission of Borders of Burkina Faso (SP-CNF) held the first workshop on March 12 in Ferke-ssédou-gou, in the Region of Tchologo (pronounced as Kologo), in the north of the Ivory Coast.
The second workshop took place on March 15 in Gaoua in the southwest region of Burkina Faso.
