Burkinabé director Dani Kouyaté has won the Yennega Gold Stallion, the top prize at the 29th FESPACO, for his feature film Katanga ou la danse des scorpions.
The festival, Africa’s premier film event, concluded Saturday in the presence of Burkinabè and Chadian authorities. This marks Burkina Faso’s third win of the prestigious award, following victories by Idrissa Ouédraogo in 1991 and Gaston Kaboré in 1997.
