The military government in Burkina Faso has signed a charter setting a three-year transition period before the country holds elections.
This decision was reached Tuesday after a consultative meeting with stakeholders and civil society groups in Ouagadougou that lasted several hours.
Recall the military led by Colonel Paul Henri Damiba in January ousted former President Roch Mach Kabore over the nation’s failing security exacerbated by recurrent jihadist attacks.
