Burkina Faso’s new Prime Minister, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, has presented his government’s General Policy Statement before the Transitional Legislative Assembly, outlining eight key priorities.
Central to the roadmap is the continued fight against terrorism, which Ouédraogo emphasized remains the government’s foremost concern. He noted that progress has been made in the anti-terrorism campaign, with over 70% of the country now under state control.
Other priorities include addressing food security challenges and tackling the growing humanitarian crisis affecting the nation.
Ouédraogo, who assumed office on December 7, 2024, assured the assembly that his government is committed to building on recent achievements and advancing stability and development in Burkina Faso.
