Burkina Faso has a new Prime Minister. The decree appointing  was unveiled on Thursday evening.

The 53-year-old economist holds a doctorate in management sciences, specializing in business development and management.

For many, the biggest obstacle of the new prime minister will be how to convince ECOWAS to accept in particular the 3-year transition period proposed.

Another area he will have to tackle is the security situation. Albert Ouedraogo will be the leader of a team that must quickly secure the country and allow the 1.5 million internally displaced people to return to their Albert Ouedraogohomes.
