One person has been detained in connection to an explosion that killed scores of people at an illegal gold mining site in Burkina Faso.
The State security has commenced investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
The mining site blast which claimed the lives 63 people and injured 40 others occurred on Monday in the rural community of Gbomblora a suburb of the southwestern province of Poni.
