Colonel Major Célestin Simporé has been installed as Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Burkina Faso.
Appointed on March 31, the new head of the Burkinabe army intends to intensify the fight against terrorism.
Colonel Simpore, on Thursday, received his anointment from the minister in charge of national defense, succeeding Colonel Major David Kabré.
