Former Burkinabé minister Vincent Dabilgou has been sentenced on appeal to six years in prison and fined over 3 billion CFA francs, over 5 million United States dollars.  

The verdict was delivered on Monday, following his initial sentencing on August 17, 2023, to seven years in prison.

The court also ordered the suspension of his party, the New Time for Democracy.
