Burkinabe’s President Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba,has declared 3 days of Nationals, in memory of the over 70 civilians killed by unknown armed men in Seytenga, North of the country.
The mourning which began Tuesday midnight to Thursday midnight will be observed throughout the territory, with flags lowered to half-mast on all public buildings and embassies of the country abroad.
Security observers have rated the Seytenga attack as one of the deadliest since the junta took over power on January 24.
According to the government, Burkina Faso, like some countries in the Sahel, has been the target of terrorist attacks since 2015, causing many victims and thousands of displaced people.
