The Beninese president Patrice Talon has commenced talks with the country’s government unions and associations over an increment in salary and wages.

The meeting, the first, of its kind began on Tuesday in the capital with the consultation led by ministers.

As veronica Njie reports, the meeting is being held amid a piercing rise in the cost of living and therefore, stirs interest and hopes in the employment sector.
