The Union of Media Professionals in Benin came out yesterday to denounce the slowness in the preparation and distribution of press cards.
For more than a year now, several journalists have submitted their applications to receive the document, but so far nothing has happened.
The situation has caused indignation within the union.
It calls on the High Authority for Audiovisual and Communication to take urgent measures so that media professionals have their cards before the commemoration of the International Day of Press Freedom on May 3.
Take a listen to Zakiath Latoundji, President of the Union of Media Professionals of Benin speak more on the issue.
