Leading global steel manufacturing factory ArcelorMittal, on Wednesday suspended rail operations in Liberia following an accident that resulted in the injury of six workers'
The company said the accident occurred when its locomotive which was traveling from Nimba to Grand Bassa County collided with a wagon stationed on the rail line.
Emergency crew responded and evacuated the injured people for urgent medical attention using a helicopter while two company staff are feared dead
ArcelorMittal has meanwhile assured Liberians that plans are underway to evacuate those who are badly injured out of Liberia for advanced medical treatment and offered its deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased.
