Amnesty International has raised fresh concerns over the political climate in Côte d’Ivoire ahead of upcoming elections.

In its 2024–2025 report, the group cited increased restrictions on free expression and peaceful assembly.

It described a growing intolerance for dissent, creating a tense atmosphere for civil society and the opposition.

The rights body urged Ivorian authorities to ease pressure and uphold democratic freedoms.
