Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger have intensified their military cooperation by deploying a unified force in the volatile tri-border area.

The joint operation, named “Yéréko 2,” ran from February 24 to March 6, aiming to bolster security and counter armed threats.

Authorities say the initiative strengthens regional defense and signals a commitment to tackling instability in the Sahel.
