Residents of Abuja’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) face prolonged power outages from January 6 to 31 due to the relocation of key electricity transmission lines.
The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) confirmed the outages would affect areas like Lugbe, Airport Road, Apo, Jahi, Jabi, Nyanya, and Keffi, among others. The relocation of the 33KV DC Airport Feeder and the 132KV Kukwaba-Apo Transmission Line Towers is to facilitate ongoing infrastructure projects.
AEDC urged residents to plan accordingly and assured them of efforts to minimize disruptions while completing the relocation.
