In Côte d’Ivoire, the National Security Council has provided an update on the October 25, 2025, presidential election.
Chaired by President Alassane Ouattara, the council reported that the election period saw around ten deaths, numerous injuries, and hundreds of arrests.
The council had overseen Operation Espérance, aimed at ensuring a smooth and secure electoral process across the country.
Officials noted that the operation successfully helped prevent the outbreak of a post-election crisis, maintaining relative stability during the voting period.
