Over 61 contestants for Miss Africa Beauty Pageant from different African countries have arrived Nigeria's capital, Abuja, for this year's contest.  

Receiving the delegates at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, the Secretary of Federal Capital Territory Social Development Secretariat, Mrs. Hadiza Kabir, explained that the essence of the pageant was to discourage indecent dressing and to promote tourism potentials among African nations.
